Yael Inbar is an assistant professor of Technology Management and Information Systems at the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University.
Her research focuses on the behavior patterns of technology users within organizations and digital platforms and the role of information systems in societal areas such as gender and healthcare.
She combines data analytics methods with field research to transform users’ digital footprints and technology usage patterns into meaningful insights to address organizational business questions. Her current research primarily focuses on using quantitative and qualitative methods to explore integrating AI-based systems in healthcare organizations. A key area of interest is the application of AI in radiology, examining its influence on physicians’ responsibilities and broader organizational and operational aspects of healthcare institutions.
Yael earned her PhD from the Coller School of Management and was a post-doctoral fellow at Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a BSc in Computer Science and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Before pursuing her PhD, she worked as a software development team leader in one of the leading engineering companies in Europe.
She is (together with Aviad Raz) PI in an ISF-funded project (2023-2028) on Assimilating AI in Radiology: Expert Users’ Perceptions and Activities in Socioethical and Institutional Perspective.
